is frightening. Geometry like the colourful and shapely picture above is WAY more exciting! And if you don’t have to solve the equation, but you just get to play with shapes and numbers to decorate, then everyone wins in my opinion (though I do, honestly, LOVE math…was a total math nerd in high school. Just saying!).
Geometry is everywhere. Every shape, line, space, angle, height, measure of volume, and colour in some way operate geometrically. Geometry is math, yes, and the cool part of math was always patterning. Don’t you remember using coloured cubes in math class to make a cool pattern, or building a structure out of nets, or using tangram 2D shapes to make really cool, bigger 2D shapes???
