This dresser was a snag from my great-grandmother. Stripped of layers (and years!) of paint, it’s use has been reimagined as an office buffet for storage. Topped with a funky orange garden sculpture and wooden ball accent, both from HOMESENSE, and a print of the quintessentially New York, Chrysler building (from ALLPOSTERS), and you’ve got an affordable & stylish vignette for your office space.
Colour on the wall is ‘revere pewter’ BENJAMIN MOORE. I’ve been waiting 10 + years to use this colour…there was never the right light in our old home. It always came out too cool (greys can look cavernous and jail-like if there is too much blue) in every room of the old house. When we laid new hardwoods throughout the house, I instinctively knew that this colour was the den colour. It’s a warm grey, neutral but with a bit of zing, super easy to work with. Sweater rug is from WEST ELM, and it originally laid in our sons bedroom in the old house, but here its shading, texture, and size work brilliantly! Update? Done!
